Family photo in our front garden. It has been the most magnificent summer.

Taking time to smell the flowers.

Life is sweet!

Our daises were in full bloom this year.

Kayden loves to smell things.

We took Jonathan and JC to see Walking with Dinosaurs- it was amazing.

Ok, so it's been a while and boy how things have changed. Our little girl is growing up so fast and we are hoping to fill you in on as many of those changes as we can. The one thing that we keep forgetting to mention is that Kayden has been using the potty since May! She will pee on the potty any time you put her on it and we all cheer, and she has even gone number 2 a few times. On occasion she has even let us know that she needed to go. It's all very exciting, but we are still a ways away from going without diapers.

Kayden has to be one of the strongest babies on earth! We were at Costco the other day with an overflowing cart and Kayden insisted on trying to push it. We decided to let her give it a try knowing it was not going to budge. A few grunts later and the cart was cruising down the isle- we couldn't believe it . Daddy has been telling everyone that story! She is in a faze where she is trying to pick up everything. She got a bit frustrated when she was unable to pick-up a giant tree the other day.

Kayden is getting her teeeth in a very interesting order. She has the top front two and the bottom front two, but now she's getting her first mollers on top and bottom. Most kids get teh teeth next to the front ones first, but Kayden knows what she needs to get teh job done! Although her favorite thing to munch on is a pickel- she's just like her Daddy.

We don't know where Kayden got it from, but she is a chatter box. She is talking up a storm and can pretty much repeat anything you say. She has learned the word please and says it any time she wants somtehing- it's so darn cute! It's hard to say no when she smiles with those 4 teeth and says PLEASE. She'e become very fond of the word poop and she also likes to point at your skin and say mole when she sees one. We don't know where she learned the word mole. :-) Kayden has also learned the word me and points to herself and says "Me". When we ask who is mommy's best friend she points to herself and says me- it melts mommy's heart. When she wants to be funny, she won't answer until I say who's daddy's best friend, and then she'll say me. She has a great sense of humor also. When she knows she's doing something naughty, she waves her pointer finger in the air and say "No, no, no". We will try to post a video of it- it's hilarious.

Our sweet girl has become very affectionate and loves to give hugs and kisses. She will occasionally go in for a bite, but if you say only hugs and kisses, she will immediately give you a kiss. She loves other kids and loves hugging them as well- it's sweet.

Kayden has been going to gymnastics and she takes it very seriously. When we're there she will not socialize with other kids and she's very focused on the task at hand. She loves the trampoline and her favorite part is when the bring out the giant bouncy balls. She also is very good at crossing the ballance beam and doing summersaults. Maybe she'll be a gymnast like her mommy! Kayden gets hands stamped at the end of classes and shows them off proudly the rest of the day. We are hoping to start swimming lessons in a few weeks.

Since we posted last, we spent a weekend in the mountains so mommy and daddy could play in a soccer tournament. They played awesome and took second when they lost the final game in a shootout. Grandpa Ted was nice enough to head up to the mountains and babysit Kayden while we played. They had such a wonderful time together- thanks Grandpa.

Also, Uncle Craig Came to visit and Kayden loved getting to spend time with him and his friend Su. She is just about to be able to wear the amazing silk pajamas that Uncle Craig sent her from Hong Kong. They are the nicest PJ's mommy and Daddy have ever seen- thanks uncle.

Finally, Mommy and Daddy took Kayden to Seattle to see Grandma and Grandpa Preikschat. We had great weather and even got to spend time at the beach. Kayden loved sitting in the sand and letting the water flow over my legs. The water was too cold for mommy, but Kayden loved every minute of it. Kayden got to spend a ton of time with Grandma P and they enjoyed playing with a bunch of daddy's old toys. Thank you Grandma P for getting all the stuff Kayden needed- she sure had a great time with you.

I'm sure there are many things we're forgetting, but we wanted to update you all before we forget. Pictures from Seattle still to come.
