Look who's crawling!

Kayden has no trouble getting up on her knees.
She took her first crawling steps to get to Grandma Joan about 2 weeks ago.

She still loves to roll

and roll!

She focuses so hard. She rocks back and forth super fast and then attempts a few crawls.

Kayden hasn't mastered getting her arms to move as fast as her legs, so she usually moves a few feet and then falls flat on her face. She gets right back up and tries it again. She works so hard at it and then when she gets too tired she decides to go back to her rolling. She has really started to reach for people when she wants to be held- that has been one of the neatest advancements for us. It melts our hearts when she reaches for one of us. She has come to realize that she loves Ritz crackers and graham crackers. It also helps us keep her busy when we go out to eat. Kayden seems so tiny to us being in the 25th percentile, but we recently found Kerri's baby book and she was much smaller. Kerri was so tiny that she didn't fall on the percentile charts. Kayden's weight seems to have plateaued, so we are interested to get her weighed at her next appointment.
Kayden has recently decided that peas and carrots aren't so bad after all. She seems to be able to tolerate most food, although she still spits up like crazy. As of now, she still has no teeth and that's ok with us because it feels like she's getting so big already and that teeth will make her seem like she's not a baby any more. We are holding on to each moment. She's starting to get into everything and unfortunately she loves to eat paper and chew on the dog's tail. We are starting to have to watch her like a hawk and we are already fearing what it's going to be like when she learns to walk. She'll be unstoppable.
